Choices is the first of three belonging to the artists Balance of Power series, a continuation of symobolism through gesture.
This work invokes the light and guides the viewer to an airy romantic setting. The hand gently releases a rose petal into what? You could call that love. This work inspred by the Rococo is the sister to Sleeping Beauty, its darker more seductive counterpart. However, together with He’s Got the Whole World In His Hands, the series is a depiction of a mental loop closing. Together they all touch on darkness, shadow, light, choice, power the ending of cyclical patterns of self destruction.
