Artist Bio

Carmen Refsnes is a Chicago-based, Berkely California born, Phoenix Arizona raised contemporary artist exploring identity,duality, consciousness, and the tension between what is seen and what lies beneath. By blending bold imagery, symbolism, wit, history, media, and unexpected materials, her work invites the viewer to look twice and question the familiar.
